GHERAVAN BAITHAkJI

SHRI MAHAPRABHUJI'S BAITHAKJI AT GHEWARVAN
NEAR RADHAJI'S TEMPLE, BELOW MORKUTIR,
POST BARSANA, DIST. MATHURA (U.P.)

Here, Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya stayed by a lake and held a ‘Bhagavata saptah’. One day he went on a walk to see the Gahavarvan forest and saw a dead boa constrictor with many ants biting it saying, “why did you ruin our lives|”

Pity rushed to the guru’s heart and he told Damala, That snake in its past life was a guru in Vrindavan who made disciples for money, used it for his own selfish pleasures and did not worship the Lord. Those ants are his disciples who are crying, ‘Impious one, you ruined our lives, why did you make us your followers.’

“Enlightenment comes in two ways, by worshipping the Lord, and serving Him. Because they lived in this sacred area, they were reborn here. Souls of this area do not wander elsewhere their pains and pleasures are all experienced here.”

Shri Mahaprabhuji then told a disciple to throw some sacred sands over the snake and the ants became liberated and ascended to the heavens in celestrial chariorts.

After bathing in piri and Prem lake Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya and his disciples proceeded towards Sanket.
