At the dite of the great sage Markandeya’s hermitage, by the banks of the Narayana lake. Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya mentioned to Damala, “This area has been blessed by the Lord’s presence, therefore, the Narayana lake manifest. After bathing in the lake the guru began his teaching and fLord Shvi came to listen. Lord Shiva had a devotee who would not take any food or water until he had Shiva’s sight. When Shiva returned very late to his temple he revealed that the reason why he was late was because he had been listening to Shri Mahaprabhuji’s Bhagavata.
Later, Shri Mahaprabhuji mentioned, “There are many divine souls in Sind (the present day pakisthan) but I am unable t go there because it would entail a voyage across the Sarasvati river which I can not undertake. My descendents will go there and initiate diven souls into the path.”
Although Shri Mahaprabhuji did not cross over in that direction, the aroma of his lotus feet liberated souls as far away as Kabul.
