TILKAYAT PARAMPARA

In this tradition, Vallabha’s dynasty has been designated as the Supreme Divine Agni Dynasty. The Vallabha Kula (Dynasty) is counted among the five divine fundamental elements of the Pushti path. Only three dynasties have been regarded as Divine on this earth i.e. Raghu dynasty, Yadu dynasty and Vallabha dynasty. In the world of Shri Harihar Rai, “There have been three purely Divine dynasties on this earth, (a) in Tretayuga (The Silver Age), the Raghu dynasty of Shri Ramchandra, the Son of King Dashratha, (b) in Dwarparayuga (The Copper Age), the Yadu dynasty of Shri Krishna and (c) in kaliyuga (The Iron Age) the vallabh dynasty of Shri Vallabhacharya. The supreme excellency of these dynasties is based on the fact that thy come into being in order to uplift the devotee.”

Shri Vithaleshvara has also said that his father, i.e. Shri Vallabhacharya, permanently established his sublimity in his own dynasty in the form of its purity. Not only this, but it is asserted that he expanded his family with the purpose of introducing and propagating the Pusthi way of devotional service on earth. All the statements of the successors of Shi Vallabhacharya clarify the special purpose of the Vallabha Kula (dynasty) is the eternal establishment of the path of devotional service for the upliftment of the devotees. Shri Vithaleshvara has said that the Vallabha dynasty is pure because lord Shri Krishna has identified himself with it. Not only the family of Shri Vallabhacharya, the entire Vallabha tradition and literature will continue to shine in the light of this statement of Shri Vithaleshvara.

Shri Vithaleshvara handed over seven deity worthy of devotional services to the seven sons. Shri Vithaleshvara left the choice to Lord Shrinathji himself on whom should he reside. Lord Shrinathji on this own choice took hold of the eldest son Shri Girdharji. Since then, the successors of Shri Giridharji have been offering service to Lord Shrinathji. The present ordained successor, His Holiness Shri Rakeshji is the seventeenth descendent of the dynasty.
